3 · Grammaire
3.1 · Le passé composé with avoir
avoir (present) + past participle. It translates both "I ate" and "I have eaten".

Regular past participles:
- -er → -é: mangé, travaillé, regardé, parlé, acheté, visité, téléphoné, joué, écouté, aimé, habité, commencé.
- -ir → -i: fini, choisi, dormi, parti, sorti, réussi.
- -re → -u: attendu, perdu, vendu, répondu, entendu.
-é, -er (infinitive) and -ez all sound এ: j'ai mangé / je vais manger / vous mangez. The ear cannot tell them apart; the grammar must.
সংক্ষেপেঅতীত কাল (passé composé) = avoir-এর বর্তমান রূপ + past participle: J'ai mangé = আমি খেয়েছি/খেলাম। participle বানানো: -er → -é (mangé), -ir → -i (fini), -re → -u (attendu)। বাংলায় "খেয়েছি" এক শব্দ; ফরাসিতে দুই শব্দ, প্রথমটি avoir। avoir-এর ছয় রূপ আগে থেকেই জানেন — তাই মূল কাজ participle মুখস্থ।
Negative — ne … pas around avoir: Je n'ai pas mangé. · Il n'a pas travaillé. · Nous n'avons pas fini. Also Je n'ai rien mangé (nothing), Je n'ai jamais visité Paris (never).
Questions: Tu as mangé ? · Est-ce que vous avez fini ? · Qu'est-ce que tu as fait ? · Avez-vous compris ?
Adverbs déjà, bien, beaucoup, toujours go between the two parts: J'ai déjà mangé. · J'ai bien dormi. · Il a beaucoup travaillé.

সংক্ষেপেঅনিয়মিত participle মুখস্থ করতেই হবে; বেশিরভাগ -u (vu, bu, lu, pu, voulu, dû, su, connu, reçu, vécu), কিছু -is (pris, mis), কিছু -it (dit, écrit), আর été, eu, fait, ouvert। Anki-তে প্রতিটি ক্রিয়ার কার্ডে participle যোগ করুন। প্রতিদিন ৫টি বলুন: "j'ai vu, j'ai bu, j'ai lu, j'ai pris, j'ai fait"।

The plural has -iss-. Same for choisir, réussir, grossir, maigrir, réfléchir, remplir (fill in). Past participle: fini, choisi. (Not all -ir verbs: partir, sortir, dormir follow the A1·10 pattern; ouvrir, offrir behave like -er verbs.)
-re verbs like attendre: j'attends, tu attends, il attend, nous attendons, vous attendez, ils attendent — participle attendu.

"I got up" (je me suis levé) uses être — next unit.
7 · Culture — Le week-end and "c'était bien ?"
- Monday's question everywhere francophone: Tu as passé un bon week-end ? / T'as fait quoi ce week-end ? Have two sentences ready. It is also the DELF A1 speaking topic examiners love.
- C'était (it was) is the imparfait of être — you will learn the tense in A2, but the phrase is so common that you should use it now: C'était bien / super / nul / fatigant.
- In Québec the weekend is la fin de semaine (the French week-end is understood but less used). Bonne fin de semaine ! on a Friday.
- French films to try at A1–A2 with subtitles: Les Choristes, Intouchables, Le Petit Nicolas; from Québec: La Grande Séduction, Monsieur Lazhar, Starbuck. Understanding 30% is a success at this level.
বাংলায়সোমবারের প্রশ্ন: "Tu as passé un bon week-end ?" — দুটি বাক্য প্রস্তুত রাখুন। "C'était bien / super / nul" এখনই ব্যবহার করুন। কুইবেকে week-end = "la fin de semaine"। সাবটাইটেলসহ ফরাসি সিনেমা দেখুন; ৩০% বুঝলেই সফল।
